The Road and Bridge Department is responsible for the maintenance and construction of County roadway and drainage structures. To be effective and efficient in the management of the transportation related infrastructure as needed within the public right-of-way of Thayer County maintained roads.

There is a continual assessment of the publics current and future transportation needs and expectations while responding appropriately given fiscal realities.
